Hi!! My name is Merlin!!
I live in Greenfield, Indiana! My mommy brings me all the way to Broadripple so I can stay at Good Dog Hotel & Spa because I love it here!!
I’m still a puppy! I’m a 4 month old Havanese with a very spunky and sweet attitude! For all my friends out there that aren’t familiar with the Havanese breed, it is a Bichon type developed from the now extinct Blanquito de la Habana (“little white Havanese”) of Cuba.
The Blanquito was eventually cross-bred with other Bichon types, including the Poodle, to create what is now known as the Havanese. They are sometimes referred to as “Havana Silk Dogs”. The Havanese is the National dog of Cuba.
My breed is small in size, sturdy in structure, and I carry my tail up over my back. Our coat is abundant, long and silky, and comes in all colors. We have a spirited personality and are very curious about everything!!
Doggies like me are considered an ideal family pet and a true companion dog. We are highly adaptable to almost any environment and our only desire is to be with our human companions.
Okay, enough technical stuff. Let’s focus on me now!!! I’ve stayed at Good Dog Hotel & Spa twice for hotel stays. When I stay here, I also do dog training. Adam Moos is the trainer at Good Dog and he has taught me many things that a pup should know!! As you can see in my pictures, I LOVE TREATS!!! I will do all kinds of tricks for a cookie!! Adam tells me I’m very smart and that I am an A+ student!!
I’ve also visited Good Dog’s luxurious spa and I enjoyed being pampered and smelling fresh when I left there! One of my favorite things to do while I stay at Good Dog, is being cuddled. The girls at the front desk will sometimes take me out of my room and play with me too!! They’ll make me do some tricks, throw toys for me, and give me treats! Then, when I get tired I’ll curl up in their lap and take a nap!!
I can’t wait for my next visit!!
