For our 3rd installment in the Mini Me blog series, meet Hawkeye and Willow. Hawkeye is a 9-year-old weim who has been visiting us since he was a pup — his mini-me is a tiny 3-year-old dachshund spitfire named Willow. Here is a little more about each pup:

Hawkey’s routine is to run through our doors, dash into daycare, open the gates himself and plop down on the bed. He used to roll with the bigs when he was younger; he has since retired to the slower pace of our littles. |

There have definitely been some exciting things going on. After an amazing bulldog party last month, and some great Butler Blue II visits, Good Dog Hotel has decided, along with Blue’s Mom and Butler University, to become THE official grooming sponsor for Mr. Blue II. That’s right! Butler University’s beloved Mascot will be frequenting our salon often. Blue II is a 6 year-old male bulldog, and he’s kind of a big deal. Acting as BU’s mascot and good luck charm, he gets to go to all the games and even got to go to the Final Four!!
That being said, today’s dog blog is a guest post by Butler Blue II himself!
It’s true, a clean dog certainly is a happy dog and thanks to my pals at Good Dog Hotel & Spa in Broad Ripple, I will be both clean and happy for a long time to come!
Of course, I’ve been those things for a long time, but now I’ve got the sponsorship support to make my cleanliness that much easier to come by as I’m pleased to announce that Good Dog Hotel & Spa is now the exclusive and official groomer for Butler Blue II (that’s me!).
During all of that March Madness stuff I got a call from Jen Funk, a fellow Butler grad who worked at Good Dog Hotel & Spa and wanted to recognize Butler’s advancement to the Final Four. To commemorate the occasion, she was planning a “Bulldog Party” and was offering a discount to all bulldogs (four legs) in the neighborhood that wanted to get cleaned up for the big game.

English Bulldog is enjoying his 6th year as mascot of the Indy-based, 4,000 student, liberal arts institution. Good Dog Hotel & Spa, as well as Indianapolis are all a buzz, as we’re about to see for the first time ever, Indy’s Butler Bulldogs in the Final Four. To celebrate this monumental occasion, Butler’s beloved mascot, Mr. Butler Blue, came to Good Dog on Wednesday and brought the BLUE!

Wednesday was such a fun day. We were so excited to throw a party for the Bulldogs. We had nearly a dozen bulldogs there, as well as other pooches. We gave away free baths, and dog treats. For the humans, we had cake, candy and sodas.
After Butler Blue signed autographs, he took full advantage of our spa in preparation of big game. He had a bath, got a nice brushing and blow dry, had his ears cleaned thoroughly, and even got a brand new Butler bandana to wear. He is going to representing in full style Saturday.
We want to thank all of our current clients and our new guests who came out to celebrate! Thanks to all the bulldogs too!!!! We love you!

Oh, it’s almost that time of year…well, actually, it’s ANY time of year for a pup that loves to run around outdoors and get all muddied up. Life is great for a pup. It costs $15 for the first dog and is 20% off the second dog.
It’s also a great idea for when you check your doggie out of the hotel! And it is HALF PRICE when you give your doggie a bath at check out time, just $7.50!
