Meet Lola!!

Hi!
My name is Lola and I am a beautiful Schipperke. The first thing you will notice about me is that my coat is the softest you will ever feel and it is always very shiny!! I am a little over 3 years old and I have been coming to Good Dog since I was a pup. My mom brings me here to board and for grooming too, but my favorite part is playing in daycare!

I love playing in the small area and yes, I’ll admit it, I love playing with boys! There is this pretty Pomeranian in there, his name is Simba, and when we meet in the play area, we play ALL day! Some say we kind of look similar except that he is red and I am black, we both kind of look like foxes though.

My favorite thing to do is play fetch! As you can see in my picture I love playing with the balls and kongs! I love when one of the staff members throws it for me and I will bring it back to them every time!

I understand that some of you readers may not be familiar with my breed. So here are some fun facts about Schipperkes. We originated in the Flemish regions of Belgium!! As a matter of fact the nice lady that helped me write this blog was born in Belgium! We were bred down in size from a black sheepdog called the Leauvenaar. My ancestors worked as a companion of tradesmen as well as a watchdog and ratter on the river barges, which is where we got the name “Schipperke” since the Flemish word “schip” means boat. Also, I am one of the few breeds that only come in the color black!! All of this stuff makes me feel very special and extra popular around my buddies in daycare!
