As the folks over at Good Dog were trying to figure out which pooch they were to highlight this week, I had to give a big BOW WOW! After all, this IS the week we celebrate my heritage, so it seemed natural, right? Yeah…that’s what I thought too! My name is Guinness Tollefson, and this is MY week!

The reason for this: I’m a 6-year-old, male, Irish Setter, with beautiful long dark red/brown fur. At the daycare, the staff believes that’s the reason my parents named me Guinness. Or, maybe it’s because I’m Irish. I think it’s a combination of the two. ☺

My whole family comes to Good Dog Hotel for doggie daycare. I used to come with my late sister, but an accident took her to doggie heaven. I miss her terribly, but now I have a brand NEW baby sister, and she now comes with me. Her name is Zoey, and she’s just a few months old. I’ve been a great older brother. I make sure I show Zoey all the ropes. I’ve been helping her make friends and protecting her. I’m a pretty protective older brother. I won’t let any of the other dogs pick on her. I just feel like it’s my job to keep all the other dogs in line! They’re actually all great with her. They love having a baby pup around.

Our cousin, Roxy, also comes to daycare, so it’s nice to have more family to play with! We love to come in and play with our friends. Otherwise, we’d just be at home twiddling our paws. That would be B-O-R-I-N-G. Besides, the staff over at Good Dog Hotel treat us all so well! I’m SUPER playful and extremely goofy. I love that everyone is so loving and accepting of me and my sis!
